Checking your account…
What we might hold
If you have never written to us, we hold no personal data about you beyond ordinary server logs, which are deleted after 90 days and are not tied to a name.
If you have an account, we hold:
- Your name, email address and profile picture, from Google
- The names of the cards you saved, and the banks that issued them
If you have written to us, we may also hold:
- Your email address, so we could reply
- Your name, if you gave one
- The content of your message, including any rate correction you sent
We hold no card numbers, expiry dates, CVVs or PINs, for anyone, ever. There is nowhere on the Site to enter one.
How to have it erased
Write to contact@wevouch.co.in from the address concerned, and ask us to erase your data. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can delete your data by pretending to be you.
You do not have to give a reason, and asking will not affect anything else.
What survives deletion, and why
If you reported a wrong rate and we used it to correct the site, the correction itself stays. What is kept is the fact that a rate was contradicted on a date, with your name and email address removed. It is no longer personal data at that point, and removing the evidence would mean undoing a fix that made the site more accurate for everyone.
We also keep anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
When accounts do exist
Accounts are being built. When they launch, deletion will be available from inside the account itself rather than by email, and this page will change to describe that route. The email route above will keep working either way.
Your other rights
Erasure is one of several rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can also ask for a summary of what we hold, have it corrected, or nominate someone to act for you. Our Privacy Policy covers all of them, and our Grievance Officer handles the requests.
